Young Flowers - publicity photo from the shooting of Blomsterpistolen - 1968 - Sonet/Claus Rasmussen collection

The Danish music scene from the late sixties and well into the seventies saw the surfacing of many bands some short-lived, others still playing to this very day all were highly regarded for their original and unique Scandinavian sound and much appreciated by music collectors and critics even today.

Those times will never come back again, but I have here compiled a few stories and images, as well as added information on a few bands bands from USA and England that would tour Denmark during these times, thus providing inspiration for the Danish hippies and musicians. I can not provide sound samples due to copyright laws, but most groups are now officially released on CD and may also be available on the internet for the full experience. Welcome and my apologies for the amount of all danish content.
